- Mostar and Kravice Waterfalls Full-Day Excursion from Dubrovnik: From Viator, a small group day trip from Dubrovnik. If I'm doing a tour, I always look for small group tours because a giant coach bus is my worse nightmare. This tour was 16-18 people and we were on a comfy, new, Mercedes mini bus. Not being a coach also allowed us to hit different border checkpoints for faster processing. From pick up to drop off, the tour is about 12 hours, so it's a full day but I think worth the cost for convenience and great opportunity to meet other travelers.
- Mostar: I found Mostar incredibly interesting and personally would have preferred skipping the waterfalls for more time here. Bosnia and Herzegovina is still rebuilding after the Bosnian war and you can see that here. We were able to have a local student provide us a short walking tour of the city. The iconic bridge, Stari Most, is actually a replica as the original was bombed in the war. Locals still climb on the bridge and haggle tourists for money to get them to jump into the water below, it's quite an entertaining site. For amazing views of the city and the Stari Most bridge, head up to Karađoz Bey Mosque and climb up the tower.
- Kravice Waterfalls: For individuals they like waterfalls and swimming this is a nice break. If you don't/won't swim and have experienced larger waterfalls in other travels, this is "ok" but not mind blowing. Also watch yourself going down the stairs to the waterfall, even in tennis shoes the stairs are slippery as hell and I wiped out going down. Lost a chunk of skin on my wrist but otherwise, nothing broken!
